Too Beautiful

I think this has been a long time coming..

But I saw on the news that Demi Lovato checked into rehab for "physical and emotional" problems. More bluntly put, an eating disorder and cutting.

It made me really sad for a few reasons. 1)She was the one Disney star I had a little hope wouldn't turn out like everyone else... and 2)Because of the issues she's going through that hundreds and thousands of other girls are dealing with everyday.

It's sad that girls think so little of themselves that they resort to starving to help them feel better about who they are and how they look. You were made in God's image.

So when you do something like this to try and change things you're basically saying "God, you're not good enough for me."

When you starve yourself it's like saying "God, your image isn't good enough."

When you cut yourself it's like saying "God, I don't trust you enough to take my pain away."

When you give yourself away before you're married it's like saying "God, what you made isn't worth waiting for. Who you have for me just isn't special enough."

When you let yourself be put into an abusive situation you're saying "God, I don't deserve anything better than this"

The lies of our culture-the lies of Satan, are getting inside our heads and telling us that we are worthless. That we are not special at all. That we have no purpose. That we are just here to be objectified by men and to have a good time. But that is all they are. LIES.

You know that other silly thing going around Facebook right now? Truth is?

Yeah well.

TRUTH IS..... God created you in His image. You are worth far more than what the world tells you. There is a plan for you that is much better than the silly things you face. God never gives you more than you can handle. He will always love you, even when you think no one else does.

Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

At the end of it all... When all is stripped away. What will you have left? You won't have your money, looks, boyfriends, friends, job, social status... When you look beyond that.. What is there? Think about it.
