Life is like a book. Complete with all kinds of characters, settings, plot twists, and more. In your story you are the main character. Each new part of your life is a new chapter. There are always new heartaches and new lessons to be learned.
Sometimes, you feel like the reader, not wanting to put your book down- or getting impatient and wanting to skip the rest of the story being woven, and see what happens in the end. If your parents will ever understand you, if that relationship will work out or fade away, if you'll ever get that happy ending you've dreamed about since you were little.
Sometimes, you want to be the Author, and work things out your way. Some minor surprises to keep life interesting, but with everything working out neatly in the end. Then there are times when you want to be the Editor of your story. Just be able to erase that one detail, person, choice, bad hair day-- to make your story perfect, without any dumb mistakes.
It's on those days that you have to take a step back and realize that your story has a best-selling author, whose endings don't disappoint, no matter what plot twists it takes to get there(: God is the PERFECT author, and when you hand your story to Him, others will see His story in you.
