Whenever I read about the Israelites in the Old Testament, I wonder how they could be so... for lack of a better word. Stupid. They had everything they needed, yet time
and time again they ruined it for themselves. Then God would punish them, they would be miserable for a while, repent, and God would forgive them. Things would be
ok for a little bit, but then they went back to their old ways. Repeat the same cycle. Over, and over, and over. I always thought, " wow. Why couldn't they just learn their
lesson and get on with life?"
Then, I look at my life. I'm no different than they were! I mess up, things go wrong, i ask for forgiveness and go on again. Then, I do it again.
and again. If I were God, I'd feel pretty used. The crazy thing is, God forgives us. every single time. I'm sure He went past His "77 quota" mannny times. It's so hard to grasp
how someone can love you that much. I'm sorry, but no human would be able to do that. Sure, they know you aren't perfect. But they aren't going to stand by you
every single time that you do something wrong. One day they'll reach their limit and say "see ya". Humans aren't always going to be there. But God is. No matter what.
