What if God took away the thing you complain about the most?

You're probably thinking "Wow. That would be nice!"

But now, think of what you complain about the most.
Your parents?
Your siblings?
Your job?
Your school?
Your body?
Your friends?
Your sport?
Your life?

What would your life be like without the things you complain about?
Without your parents, your siblings, your job, your school, your body, your friends, your sport, your life.

If you took away your parents, who would take care of you? If you take away your job, how would you make money? If you take away your school how would you learn? If you take away your life, how would you live?

Some of the things in life that can drive you crazy and cause problems are the same things that are really important in the long run. Complaining about it isn't going to make it go away, and if it did- you probably would complain about not having it after a little while..

So next time you complain about something like this, imagine how life would be if you didn't have it. What it would really be like if you didn't have it, not the perfect world you can think up in your head. Once you realize how important it really is, thank God for putting it in your life- no matter how much it can annoy you at times.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
